Industrial Innovative Technologies AG has several pump models compliant with American Petroleum Institute API-610. Our customers in the oil refining and petrochemical industries have for years turned to our products for their high-head, low-flow services and other difficult or hazardous applications.
API 610 specifies requirements for centrifugal pumps, including pumps running in reverse as hydraulic power recovery turbines, for use in petroleum, petrochemical, and gas industry process services. This International Standard is applicable to overhung pumps, between bearing pumps, and vertically suspended pumps. Clause 9 provides requirements applicable to specific types of pumps. All other clauses of this International Standard apply to all pump types. Illustrations are provided of the various specific pump types and the designations assigned to each specific pump type. It does not cover sealless pumps. test
OVERHUNG (OH) PUMPS
Overhung pumps come in a variety of configurations and are manufactured to a number of international standards including API , ANSI and ISO . Pumps range in size from small industrial 25mm end suction designs to large between bearing API 610 compliant machines.
OH 1

Foot-mounted single-stage overhung pumps are referred to as OH 1 type pumps. (This type meets all requirements of the International Standard for ANSI and ISO ).
OH 2

Centreline-mounted single-stage overhung pumps are referred to as OH 2 type pumps. They have a single bearing housing to absorb all forces imposed upon the pump shaft and maintain rotor position during operation. The pumps are mounted on a baseplate and are flexibly coupled to their drivers. Test
OH 3

Vertical in-line single-stage overhung pumps with separate bearing brackets are referred to as OH 3 type pumps. They have a bearing housing integral with the pump to absorb all pump loads. The driver is mounted on a support integral to the pump. The pumps and their drivers are flexibly coupled.
OH 4

Rigidly coupled vertical in-line single-stage overhung pumps shall be designated pump type OH 4. Rigidly coupled pumps have their shaft rigidly coupled to the driver shaft. (This type does not meet all the requirements of International Standard).
OH 5

Close-coupled vertical in-line single-stage overhung pumps shall be designated pump type OH 5. Close-coupled pumps have their impellers mounted directly on the driver shaft. (This type does not meet all the requirements of International Standard).
BETWEEN BEARING (BB) PUMPS
The Between Bearing pumps are designed for heavy duty, high pressure and high temperature applications in industrial and HPI services. Applications range from light hydrocarbons at low temperatures, to corrosive fluids, coker furnace charge, vacuum bottoms and other services at high temperatures.
BB 1

Axially split 1 and 2 stage between-bearings pumps shall be designated pump type BB 1.
BB 2

Radially split 1 and 2 stage between-bearings pumps shall be designated pump type BB 2.
BB 3

Axially split multistage between-bearings pumps are referred to as BB 3 type pumps.
BB 4

Single-casing radially split multistage between-bearings pumps are referred to as BB 4 type pumps. These pumps are also called ring-section pumps, segmental-ring pumps or tie-rod pumps.
These pumps have a potential leakage path between each segment. (This type does not meet all the requirements of this International Standard)
BB 5

Double-casing radially split multistage between-bearings pumps (barrel pumps) are referred to as BB 5 type pumps.
VERTICAL SUSPENDED (VS) PUMPS
Vertical Suspended pumps are for applications ranging from waste water sump duties to highly specialized offshore fire fighting applications
VS 1

Wet pit, vertically suspended, single-casing diffuser pumps with discharge through the column are referred to as pump type VS1.
VS 2

Wet pit, vertically suspended single-casing volute pumps with discharge through the column are referred to as pump type VS2.
VS 3

Wet pit, vertically suspended, single-casing axial-flow pumps with discharge through the column shall are referred to as pump type VS3.
VS 4

Vertically suspended, single-casing volute line-shaft driven sump pumps are referred to as VS 4 type pumps.
VS 5

Vertically suspended cantilever sump pumps shall be designated pump type VS5.
VS 6

Double-casing diffuser vertically suspended pumps are referred to as VS 6 type pumps.
VS 7

Double-casing volute vertically suspended pumps are referred to as pump type VS7.
